Born c.1834, place not known.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Cork on the 28th of November 1854.

Age: 20.

Height: 5' 8".

Trade: None shown.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 20th of June 1855.

Embarked for India from Cork aboard the S.S. "Great Britain" on the 8th of October 1857.

The musters for July-September 1858 show him as being "On Detachment at Sholapoore" during the whole of the period.

Embarked for England on the 4th of February 1861.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "Invalided", from Canterbury on the 2nd of July 1861.

He was awarded a pension of 7d. per day for one year.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.

Can find no trace on the Mutiny medal roll.

Commemorations

Life after service

He was living in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, in 1862.
