Birth & early life

Born in the parish of St. Peter's, Colchester, and baptised in Helen's Lane Meeting House on the 10th of August 1834, the son of James and Eliza Tracey.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 14th of December 1852.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Chemist.

Service

Left the regiment for the General Depot at Scutari on the 23rd of September 1854.

The muster roll states, "Believed to have died on board ship during the passage down," 24th of September 1854.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for the Alma.

He is not shown on the medal roll for the Sebastopol clasp.
