Born at Croydon, Surrey.
Enlisted at London on the 16th of October 1852.
Age: 19.
Height: 5' 8".
Trade: Baker.
Killed in action at Balaclava.
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Balaclava and Sebastopol.
Lummis and Wynn would appear to confuse this man with a "Henry Turner" whose name is on the Crimean War Memorial outside of the Queen's Hotel in Cheltenham.
(See record of 725 Henry Turner.) Edward Turner would not appear to have had any connection with Cheltenham to justify this claim.
