Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 9th of February 1855.

Age: 20.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: None shown.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea from Dublin on the 15th of July 1855.

Embarked for India from Cork aboard the S.S. "Great Britain" on the 8th of October 1857.

The musters for July-September of 1858 show him as being "On Field Service" during the whole of this period.

Served in the field at Rajghur and Mungrowlee with Captain William Gordon.

Invalided to England from India on the 28th of February 1863.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "time expired," from Aldershot on the 28th of July 1867.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.

Mutiny medal without clasp.

The Returned Medal book states. "Mutiny medal returned to the Mint. No trace of issue."
