Birth & early life

Born at Hacklesdown.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 20th of October 1852.

Trade: Labourer.

No other enlistment details are shown.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 25th of May 1855.

Transferred to the 7th Hussars on the 10th of October 1856. Regimental No. 124.

Embarked for India aboard the "Greenwich" on the 27th of August 1857.

Served in the field in Oude, East Indies, from the 4th of February-1st of December 1858, including the Siege of Lucknow.

Discharge & pension

Discharged at Sialkote, India (no reason shown), on the 16th of January 1867. Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol,

Mutiny medal with clasp for Lucknow.
