Born at Thrapston, Northants, c.1833.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 5th of January 1852.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 8".

Trade: Labourer.

Service

He was servant to Captain Cresswell, 11th Hussars, in the Crimea. (See his record for the story of what his servant was expected to do.)

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Commemorations

Death & burial

Died, "of cholera", at Balaclava on the 18th of October 1854.

Next of kin: Mother, Mary Threadgold, living in Cranford, Northampton.
