Born at Canterbury, Kent, c.1820.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Canterbury on the 19th of November 1838.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 8".

Trade: Chair-maker.

At the time of his desertion from Hounslow on the 27th of August 1848 he was described as being of a fair complexion, grey eyes, and brown hair.

1851 Census

Pockthorpe Cavalry Barracks, Norwich.

Died "on Sebastopol Heights" on the 10th of October 1854.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma and Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
