Died "of sunstroke", in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, [sic?] on the 16th of May 1860.

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
The muster roll states, "Crimean medal, with clasp for Sebastopol, and the T.M., forwarded to the Regimental Depot."
He is not shown on the China "1860" medal roll, having died before the two actions for which was awarded took place.
