Born in London.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 12th of May 1854.

No other enlistment details apart from his trade as a mathematical instrument maker are shown.

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 25th of April 1855.

From Private to Corporal: 1st of March 1858.

Deserted from Manchester on the 13th of December 1860 and posted as a "deserter" from the 13th of January 1861.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.

Can find no further trace to March of 1875.
