Born at Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 14th of December 1854.

Age: 18.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: Grocer.

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 25th of May 1855.

At the Cavalry Depot, Scutari, from the 28th of August — 15th of September 1855.

Sent to the Depot at Canterbury when the regiment went to India, 25th of July 1866.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "time expired", from Canterbury on the 6th of December 1866.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish medal

Life after service
