The India Office records show him as dying of "Delirium tremens" at Nusserabad on the 10th of August 1861, aged 30 years. He was buried on the 11th of August by "The Officers Attending".
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.
