Enlisted at Killbeggen on the 19th of May 1844.

Height: 5' 7".

Service

Died at Edinburgh on the 30th of December 1860.

Died in Piershill Barracks, Jock's Lodge, Edinburgh, from "Anasarca, consequent upon disease of the lungs, (299 days)". Edward Anderson, a neighbour, was present at his death. Described as being a "Soldier, a Private in 13th Light Dragoons aged 32 years, and

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Balaclava, Inkerman, Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.
