Birth & early life

Born at Stafford, and baptised there on the 29th of April 1831, the son of William and Rebecca Holland.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Lichfield on the 1st of August 1851.

Age: 20.

Height: 5' 7.

Trade: Shoemaker.

Sent to Scutari on the 15th of December 1854 and died there on the 11th of March 1855.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Balaclava, Inkerman and Sebastopol.

An impressed naming medal with clasps for A. B. and I., and the T.M., named to "W. Holland. 4th Light Dragoons.", was sold at a Glendining's auction on the 6th of March 1930.
