Height: 5' 8".

Trade: Weaver.

From Private to Corporal: 1st of March 1859.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "by purchase", from Dundalk on the 20th of March 1865. Payment of £10.

Served 10 years 12 days.

Conduct: "good".

In possession of two Good Conduct badges.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal only. (See record of 1941 Samuel Briggs.) Landed in the Crimea after the 9th of September 1855 but is specially entitled to the Crimean medal in consequence of having served with the regiment in the Expedition to Eupatoria during the month of October of that same year... Camp Aldershot, 16th of November 1857.
