Birth & early life

Born in London c.1826.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 12th of January 1845.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 7".

Trade: Basket-maker.

Service

Embarked for the Crimea aboard the H.T. "Wilson Kennedy" on the 2nd of May 1854.

Sent to Scutari on the 1st of October and was invalided to England sometime in December of 1854.

Died at Newbridge, Ireland, on the 27th of February 1855.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma and Sebastopol.

Lummis and Wynn state that he was also entitled to the clasp for Inkerman, but he was en route to Scutari from the 1st of October and the medal roll does not credit him with the clasp.

Died at Newbridge, Ireland, on the 27th of February 1855.
