Enlisted at Manchester on the 19th of August 1854.

Height: 5' 6".

Trade: Draper.

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 14th of July 1855.

Embarked from India from Cork aboard the S.S. "Great Britain" on the 8th of October 1857.

Served at Kotah.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "by purchase", from York on the 9th of January 1864. Payment of £10.

Served 10 years 21 days.

In Turkey and the Crimea: 10 months.

Conduct: "good".

In possession of two Good Conduct badges.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Mutiny medal with clasp for Central India.

Served at Kotah.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.

The Returned medal book shows "Mutiny medal returned to the Mint. No trace of issue."

Awarded a Special Campaign Pension — no date shown.
